The
Nutmegs
 The
Nutmegs made up of Leroy Griffin, James 'Sonny' Griffin, James
Tyson, Billy Emery, and Leroy McNeil. The group formed in New
Haven, Connecticut in 1954. The Nutmegs recording fame consists
of just two songs "Story Untold" number 2 R&B
charts and "Ship Of Love" number 13 R&B chart from
1955. After several declining years in the fifties the group
disbanded in 1962. The group during 1955 through 1962 was an
east coast mania. The group, minus lead Leroy Griffin worked the
Doo-Wop revival circuit on the east coast during the 1970's.
